Japan's Granja Fujikura eyes developing large-scale, high-tech agriculture in Vietnam
Granja Fujikura Group wishes to receive favorable conditions in Vietnam to develop large-scale, high-tech agriculture.
Wiliam Shuhei Fujikura, director of Granja Fujikura, made the statement in a meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Sunday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Chinh is paying a visit to Brazil to attend the 2025 BRICS Summit and have bilateral activities in the country from July 4-8, at the invitation of Brazilian President Lula da Silva.
Granja Fujikura is a high-tech agricultural farm in Brazil which belongs to the Granja Fujikura system, originating in Japan.

Fujikura noted that in 2025, Fujikura Quail Genetics surveyed Vietnam and is currently cooperating with local firm Trong Khoi Group to develop quail farming in the Vietnamese and Asian markets.
He said he hopes that the Vietnamese authorities at central and local levels will create conditions for the group to cooperate efficiently in Vietnam, not only in raising quail but also developing large-scale, high-tech agriculture, the government's news portal reported.
In response, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated Granja Fujikura on its global business performance in recent years. He said he highly appreciates the group's cooperation with Trong Khoi, one of the leading enterprises in Vietnam in the field of quail egg export.
The Vietnamese leader affirmed that on the basis of the good Vietnam-Brazil relationship, Vietnam hopes that Brazilian enterprises, including Granja Fujikura, will continue to pay attention to and expand investment and business in the Vietnamese market.
Vietnam aims for $100 billion worth of agricultural, forestry, and fishery exports in the coming years. To achieve this goal, the government is committed to solving problems in the industry, such as those related to institutions, policies, human resources, and land, while creating conditions for enterprises to develop and export agricultural products, Chinh said.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Vietnam is a potential consumer market with a population of more than 100 million people and a growing middle class. It is a gateway to the ASEAN region, a dynamically developing region and the world's leading attractive destination for investors.
He said he hopes that Granja Fujikura will strengthen cooperation with Vietnamese partners to bring the group's products to Vietnamese and regional consumers, and bring Vietnamese agricultural products to the Brazilian market and the group's global market network.
The cabinet leader added that he expects the group will support Vietnamese partners to improve their capacity, especially in the areas of market development, technology transfer, and product promotion.
The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the Ministry of Finance to continue coordinating with relevant ministries, agencies, and localities to support the group in exploring opportunities and deploying investments.
