Korea soju producer HiteJinro targets annual output of 70 mln liters in Vietnam
South Korea's HiteJinro, a leading producer of traditional alcoholic beverage soju, targets an annual output of 70 million liters of soju and fruit-flavored soju under the Jinro brand for its to-be-built factory in Vietnam.
In October 2023, local business Green i-Park Corporation, the investor of Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park in Vietnam's northern province of Thai Binh, and HiteJinro signed an in-principle land lease agreement under which the latter will lease 8.4 hectares of land to build the drink factory with an investment of $100 million.

Per the land lease agreement between Green i-Park and HiteJinro, the lease duration ends on February 2071. As Green i-Park is supported by provincial authorities with no land lease fees for the industrial park site until the end of 2039, the industrial park developer, in turn, offers the same support for the South Korean investor.
According to a recent project report, HiteJinro aims to kick off and build the factory in December 2024-June 2026, install equipment in July 2026-October 2026, start trial production in November 2026-January 2027, and begin commercial operation from February 2027.
The plant will need 165 employees, including 25 for back office and 140 for production.
