MB's digital business account opening solution wins award
BIZ MBBank, a corporate digital banking platform of Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB), has been recognized at the Vietnam I4 Impact Awards 2026 for its digital business account opening solution, underscoring the lender's efforts to advance digital banking services for corporate customers.
The platform received the Outstanding Digital Service award for its "Fully Digital – Automated Corporate Documentation" solution at a ceremony held on May 30 and broadcast on national television channel VTV2.
The annual awards program recognizes initiatives that demonstrate measurable contributions to Vietnam's digital transformation across four pillars: Industry, Innovation, Intelligence and Impact. Organizers said this year's evaluation focused on the practical impact of technology on business efficiency, governance, public services and social development.

BIZ MBBank's solution was selected from nearly 300 submissions representing more than 200 organizations, businesses, and localities.
The digital account-opening platform enables businesses to complete the entire onboarding process remotely via mobile devices without submitting paper documents or visiting bank branches.
According to MBBank, the system integrates multiple technologies to automate data collection, verification and reconciliation processes.
The platform combines optical character recognition (OCR), artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to extract, standardize and validate information from corporate documents. Enhanced electronic know-your-customer (eKYC) capabilities use biometric verification and liveness detection to authenticate legal representatives remotely.
The bank has also developed open API connections with business databases and third-party data providers, allowing real-time cross-checking and verification of customer information.
Automated risk-scoring and rule-based assessment tools are integrated into the onboarding process to strengthen risk management and reduce manual review requirements.
Opening a BIZ MBBank business account is easy and takes only three minutes.
MBBank said the digitalized workflow has helped shorten processing times, improve data accuracy, and enhance compliance controls during customer onboarding.
The bank also noted that it is the first lender in Vietnam to offer an online post-onboarding documentation model, allowing corporate customers to supplement account information remotely after account opening without disrupting banking transactions.
The award marks the latest recognition of MBBank's digital transformation efforts as Vietnamese banks continue investing in technology to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
