PVI Insurance, a leading non-life insurer in Vietnam, and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) have signed a cooperation agreement to establish their comprehensive partnership for 2026-2027.

The deal aims to support Vietnamese enterprises in improving competitiveness, achieving sustainable development, and integrating more deeply into the global economy.

The agreement was signed in Hanoi on Friday amid both opportunities and challenges facing Vietnamese businesses arising from international integration, digital transformation, green transition, and increasingly demanding requirements for risk management and sustainable development.

On this basis, PVI Insurance and VCCI agreed to promote practical coordination activities aimed at helping enterprises develop steadily, enhance adaptability, and strengthen competitiveness within domestic and international value chains.

Under the agreement, the two parties will jointly implement business support programs aligned with the government’s socio-economic development orientations and industry development strategies for each period.

In addition, they will strengthen connections between VCCI members and PVI Insurance’s ecosystem of customers and partners across various sectors, industries, and economic regions.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, VCCI president Ho Sy Hung emphasized that as the economy enters a new stage of development with higher demands for competitiveness, governance, and integration, Vietnam needs more strong and professionally managed enterprises with leadership capabilities like PVI Insurance to drive overall economic growth.

“PVI Insurance is one of the leading enterprises in the non-life insurance sector, with strong financial capacity, extensive risk management experience, and a nationwide service network.

"The comprehensive partnership between VCCI and PVI Insurance not only creates practical support opportunities for the business community, but also contributes to fostering Vietnamese enterprises with increasing scale, capability, and competitiveness, thereby making positive contributions to the country’s sustainable growth,” he stated.

Through this partnership, Hung noted that PVI Insurance will leverage its strengths and market-leading position in Vietnam’s non-life insurance sector to provide comprehensive and specialized insurance solutions for businesses.

Key products and services include property and engineering insurance, marine insurance, liability insurance, personal insurance, motor vehicle insurance, energy insurance, and various insurance solutions supporting manufacturing, business operations, trade, and import-export activities.

According to Pham Anh Duc, CEO of PVI Insurance, the signing of the cooperation agreement with VCCI is of significant importance in the firm’s strategy of accompanying the Vietnamese business community.

As a leading non-life insurance company in the market, PVI Insurance not only provides insurance solutions but also aims to contribute to enhancing risk management capabilities, protecting assets and business operations, and creating a safer foundation for enterprise development, he added.

“With the mission of accompanying and safeguarding the sustainable development of our customers, PVI Insurance hopes that through this partnership with VCCI, we can further expand our ability to access, support, and provide specialized insurance solutions for the Vietnamese business community," Duc said.

This also reflects the company’s responsibility and aspiration to elevate the value of Vietnamese enterprises, promote sustainable development, and contribute to the nation’s era of advancement, he added.

With strong financial capacity, extensive experience in implementing large-scale insurance programs, and a nationwide service network, PVI Insurance is currently the only Vietnamese insurance company to achieve the international financial strength rating of A- (Excellent) from AM Best for four consecutive years.

The firm has continuously been honored by prestigious international organizations with numerous important awards. Most recently, it became the only Vietnamese insurer recognized by the UK-based International Finance Magazine with two prestigious awards: “Best Non-Life Insurance Company – Vietnam 2026” and “Most Innovative General Insurer – Vietnam 2026.”

These achievements provide a solid foundation for PVI Insurance to continue supporting enterprises in strengthening risk management capabilities, protecting assets, and pursuing sustainable development, the CEO said.

He noted that the signing of the cooperation agreement between VCCI and PVI Insurance not only opens up practical cooperation opportunities between two reputable organizations in the fields of business support and insurance, but also contributes to realizing the government’s orientation for private sector development by building a dynamic, modern, and highly competitive Vietnamese business community in the new stage of development.

In 2025, PVI Insurance reported pre-tax profit of VND1,066 billion ($40.45 million). Internationally, it was named “General Insurer of the Year” and “Underwriting Initiative of the Year” at the InsuranceAsia News Awards for Excellence 2025, becoming the first Vietnamese representative to win both categories.
