Online payments most popular fintech discussion on social media
Online payments and digital banking were the two most discussed fintech terms on social media in Vietnam in 2022, according to local social listening consultancy Reputa.

In its latest report featuring 1.61 million discussions and 46 firms in the fintech sector, Reputa said online payments and digital banking topped the list with 1.09 million and 349,782 discussions, respectively, followed by peer-to-peer lending with 79,474; financial management apps with 61,642; and point of sale management apps with 30,331.
Reputa said people aged between 25 and 34 were the most active with 60% of participants, followed by people aged between 35 and 44 with 23%, and the 18-24 group with 9%.
Regarding popularity, FE Credit was the most popular fintech company, Reputa said after analyzing positive comments, the proportion of comments of the business in the sector, total interactions (likes, shares, comments), and the reach of information in the sector.
Other leading firms were Fiin Financial Technology Innovation JSC (Fiin Credit), Finhay Vietnam JSC, Citigo Software JSC, and Bitcoin Vietnam Company Limited.
Notably, FE Credit heavily outweighed the runner-up Fiin Credit with a score of 43.65 to 9.43.
For online payments, Online Mobile Services JSC, known for its Momo digital wallet, was the most popular; Shopee Company Limited, known for the ShopeePay wallet; Vietnam Payment Solution JSC, known for the VNPAY wallet; Vietnam Multimedia Corporation, known for the VTC Pay wallet; and Viettel Digital Services, known for the ViettelPay wallet.
Regarding digital banking, the most popular was MBBank, followed by TPBank, Techcombank, Timo-a partner of VPBank, and Vietcombank.
