Pfizer signs child healthcare deal with Vietnam pediatrics association
Pfizer Vietnam, part of global drugs giant Pfizer, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Vietnam Pediatrics Association to enhance the capacity of healthcare professionals in pediatric diagnosis and treatments from 2023-2026.
The MoU includes respiratory treatments, neonatology, emergency resuscitation, infectious diseases, and surgery.
The signing ceremony marks a significant milestone for the long-term partnership between the Vietnam Pediatrics Association and Pfizer in the advanced management of pediatric patients to make a positive impact on community healthcare.
The main purpose of this collaboration is to cooperate, support and strengthen the capacity of healthcare workers in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric diseases through interdisciplinary coordination and guidance on how to use antibiotics safely and effectively.
As one of the world’s leading biopharmaceutical companies, Pfizer is strong in many treatments including infectious diseases, oncology, rare diseases, immune and inflammatory mechanisms, internal medicine, and cardiology, as well as vaccines, said Darrell Oh, general director of Pfizer Vietnam.
“We are constantly pursuing breakthroughs that change patients’ lives. With our global presence and footprint, we strive to make a difference towards a healthier future,” he said.

In 2022, Pfizer Vietnam received a prestigious Certificate of Merit from Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh for the company’s significant contributions to supplying Covid-19 vaccines in 2021.
Prior to the certificate, Pfizer collaborated with the Vietnamese Ministry of Health to complete the delivery of about 110 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine to residents. Similar efforts were extended to Vietnamese regulatory and administrative bodies through the implementation of medical and scientific education to all related stakeholders to help Vietnam meet vaccine storage and handling requirements.
