Multi-industry corporation Thaco plans to invest in four additional projects in Quang Nam, further expanding its industrial ecosystem beyond its current total investment of VND103 trillion ($4.03 billion) in the central Vietnamese province.

This integrated logistics project is expected to cost VND7.2 trillion ($281.75 million), Tue said.

The three remaining projects include the phase-two Chu Lai urban area, the VND1.24 trillion ($48.8 million) expanded automobile mechanical industrial park covering 115 ha, and the 32-ha Long Thanh Tay tourism and resort complex.

Last month, Thaco inaugurated a series of major projects in Quang Nam province, such as a new 50,000-DWT berth at Chu Lai International Port, a $40 million research & development center, a $30 million factory for manufacturing auto body components, a $25 million auto glass plant, and a $20 million automotive electrical equipment manufacturing plant.
