With the batch leaving from Tien Sa Port in the central city of Danang, the fourth batch this year, the industrial giant fulfilled its target of exporting 1,000 such motorbikes this year, a collaboration between Thaco and France’s Peugeot Motocycles.

The motorbikes are assembled at Thaco Chu Lai Industrial Park in the central province of Quang Nam, with a regional value content of 42%.

Thaco plans to export 3,000 Django motorbikes next year to the Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, and beyond. The firm will continue investing and developing its facilities to improve output, especially its localization rate.

Founded in 1997, Thaco was initially a company that traded in and repaired second-hand vehicles. In just 25 years, it has become an industrial giant with two sub-holdings - Thaco Auto (automobiles) and Thagrico (agro-forestry production); and four subsidiaries - Thaco Industries (mechanics & supporting industries), Thadico (investment-construction), Thilogi (logistics), and Thiso (commerce-service).
