Thailand-invested MM Mega Market to pour $20 mln into Danang city
MM Mega Market Vietnam, under Thai conglomerates Berli Jucker (BJC) and Thai Charoen Corporation (TCC), has received an investment certificate to invest $20 million in Vietnam’s central city of Danang.
Under the document Danang authorities granted to the firm at the investment conference “Meet Danang 2024” on Friday, MM Mega Market Vietnam will build a 19.2-hectare supermarket in Lien Chieu district.

The facility will follow the “Big C” supermarket model of Thailand, featuring restaurants, shopping areas, and a cinema. It will be located on a prime land plot with all four sides facing streets.
MM Mega Market Vietnam is a strategic brand of BJC and TCC in Vietnam, with 21 supermarkets, seven warehouses, five logistics centers, two central distribution centers, and two warehouses for fresh products. The firm employs over 4,000 people and has over 2,000 suppliers across the country.
BJC is among the biggest suppliers of consumer services, packaging, healthcare, wholesale-retail in Vietnam with investment of $1.14 billion.
At the investment forum, Danang authorities also granted an investment certificate to South Korea’s KP Aero Industries, a supplier of components for Boeing and Airbus planes.
The firm is set to begin building a $20 million factory in Danang in February. The project will manufacture and assemble aircraft components, including APU doors, MIC tips, wingboxes, winglets, and flap supports for Boeing 787 and Boeing 737 Max aircraft.
