The Investor's charity golf tournament tees off

The third edition of charity golf tournament "Investors' golden heart," hosted by The Investor and its Vietnamese-language sister Nhadautu.vn took place on Saturday.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Pham Duc Son, editor-in-chief of The Investor and head of the organizing committee, said the tournamentt aims to connect investors inside and outside Vietnam and help needy learners, especially those achieving outstanding grades despite hardships.

With support from carmaker Hyundai TC, sponsors, and golfers, the host collected over VND1 billion ($40,370) from the previous two editions in 2022 and 2023 to provide scholarships to needy students across the country, Son said.

As many as 144 golfers across Vietnam participate in the tournament this year at the Royal Golf Course in the northern province of Ninh Binh. For this year, the donations will be earmarked for helping victims of super typhoon Yagi, which blowed severe damages to the northern region.

This year, in addition to Hyundai TC, the tournament features real estate business Taseco as a main sponsor. Other sponsors are Bamboo Airways, BRG Group, Hoa Binh Group, Eurowindow, Vabis Group, Citra West Lake City Development Company Limited, Geleximco, MobiFone, Vietjet Air, Nam A Bank, Koretoviet center, Habeco, Heineken, Hasco Holdings, HDMon, GFDI, and Hai Nam Co. Ltd.

The event is also supported by media agencies, including Vietnam News Agency, Hanoi Television, VietNamNet, Nha bao va Cong Luan (Journalists & Public opinion), Dau Tu (Investment), Lao Dong (Labor), Gia dinh Vietnam (Vietnam family), Doi song va Phap luat (Life and Law), and Giao Duc Vietnam (Vietnam Education).

In addition to main prizes, the tournament will offer a Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy 2.5 vehicle to the hole-in-one prize winner.

Over the years, The Investor considers charitable activities as a priority, offering thousands of scholarships and gifts to needy people via collaboration with sponsors.

In the first half of this year, it provided hundreds of scholarships to needy students in provinces of Ha Tinh, Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang, Vinh Phuc, and Thanh Hoa.

Last month, The Investor delivered 30 gifts from the "Investors' golden heart" fund to typhoon Yagi victims in the northern coastal city of Hai Phong, and granted VND25 million ($1,010) to some needy students and families in Dong Da district, Hanoi.
