Uniqlo to open first store in central Vietnam next year
Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo will open its first store in Vietnam’s central region in 2025, at the Aeon Mall Hue in Thua Thien Hue province.
The new outlet, with an area of circa 1,000 square meters, will offer a complete range of LifeWear clothing, providing a more convenient shopping experience for customers in the central region, according to a release posted on the Uniqlo Vietnam fan page.

The release quoted Nishida Hideki, general director of Uniqlo Vietnam, as saying: “Our five years in Vietnam have been a meaningful journey. We are proud to have earned the trust of customers in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Hai Phong City and Binh Duong province. We have also received many messages from customers in the central region expressing their desire for us to be here.
"Opening this new store is a significant milestone for us and a way to show our appreciation to customers nationwide. We look forward to offering our high-quality LifeWear products and services to this region, while also contributing positively to economic, cultural and social activities and creating job opportunities to support local communities."
Further details about the Uniqlo store in Thua Thien Hue will be announced soon, the release said.
Uniqlo, which entered Vietnam at the end of 2020, has 22 stores in Vietnam to date.
Aeon Mall Hue, the seventh shopping mall of Aeon Group in Vietnam and its first in the central region, is being built in the An Van Duong new urban area in An Dong ward, Hue town.
Thua Thien Hue has a population of over 650,000 and attracts a large number of domestic and international tourists with famous historical and cultural heritage sites.
Eight Vietnamese provinces – Thua Thien Hue, Khanh Hoa, Bac Ninh, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Hai Duong and Binh Duong – are expected to become centrally administered cities by 2030.
