VAFIE to advance dissemination work, make policy recommendations
The Vietnam’s Association of Foreign Invested Enterprises (VAFIE) will continue contributing to the national task of updating legal frameworks, disseminating trade-investment information, and making policy recommendations.
The association reiterated its commitments at a Friday conference that reviewed its performance in 2023 and previewed tasks for 2024.
The association has regularly collected feedback from businesses and VAFIE members to make policy recommendations and ensured that they reached the highest echelons of governance.
Its proposals, with inputs from economists, authorities and businesses gathered at events organized by The Investor and partners, are sent to the National Assembly, the Prime Minister and ministries, speakers at the conference noted.

In 2024, the association will continue its focus on making policy recommendations for socioeconomic growth in general and for the FDI sector in particular, especially in the drafting of law guiding documents.
Leaders of the association will continue participating in media events, economic commentary programs, and interviews with the press.
The VAFIE will also improve its dedicated printed magazine, carrying more information about investments and various economic topics in order to support investors and businesses, the meeting heard.

In 2023, The Investor and its Vietnamese-language sister Nhadautu.vn, under the VAFIE's umbrella, hosted 13 events focusing on current and future trends, attracting the attention of both authorities and businesses.
The events, with the participation of experts, entrepreneurs, research agencies and officials, produced several important recommendations to ease business activities and generated high-quality articles.
The events also helped elevate the prestige and profile of the VAFIE and its publications for disseminating policy information, helping improve the investment environment and connecting with readers inside and outside Vietnam.
In 2023, Theinvestor.vn and Nhadautu.vn operated in line with guidance and direction from authorities to provide analyses on the economy, investments, business environment and VAFIE activities.
One key achievement last year was the publication of a book on the “Circular economy” in both English and Vietnamese languages, which was well received by the public.
The Investor has attracted increasing readership, disseminating information about the country’s legal framework, economic performance, investment environment, cooperation between foreign and domestic businesses, and diplomatic issues. Viewership of Theinvestor.vn in 2023 doubled year-on-year.
