Vietnam Airlines plans to lease eight A320neo aircraft
National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has announced plans to dry lease eight Airbus A320neo aircraft for 143 months, with delivery scheduled for 2024.
The carrier said it would issue leasing documents from February 13-17.
With 105 aircraft, Vietnam Airlines currently has the biggest fleet in Vietnam out of the 229 operated by domestic carriers, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).

The airliner, listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) as HNV, reported an accumulated loss of over VND34 trillion ($1.45 billion) by the end of 2022.
In 2022, it suffered net loss of VND10.37 trillion ($442.2 million) although its revenue hit nearly VND71 trillion ($3.03 billion), 2.5 times higher than that of 2021 and equivalent to over 70% of the pre-pandemic level in 2019.
The carrier operated 115,987 flights in 2022 with 14,486 delays (12.5%), the highest rate among Vietnamese carriers, according to the CAAV.
HVN shares fell 3.72% to VND11,650 ($0.5) on Monday.
