The visit began with a flower offering ceremony at the monument of President Ho Chi Minh, the first President of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

In attendance were Igor Bodnarchuk, head of Relations with International Organizations of the Saint Petersburg Committee for External Relations, along with representatives from Vyborg district authorities.

A key highlight of the program was a visit to High School No. 488 in Vyborg district, home to the Ho Chi Minh Museum established in 2023. The delegation toured the museum and held a meeting with Natalia Osennova, the school's principal.

At the end of the program, both parties expressed interest in strengthening and expanding cooperation in the field of education, contributing to mutual understanding and friendship between Vietnam and Russia. Notably, the visit took place just before the Teachers' Day in Russia, adding symbolic significance to the event.

Established on June 1, 1957 under the Ministry of Education and Training, VEPH is Vietnam’s largest educational publisher, with nearly 40 member units and affiliates, publishing thousands of book titles annually.

It currently accounts for 75% of the educational book market in Vietnam and is tasked with the compilation, editing, publication, and distribution of textbooks, teaching materials, and digital resources for teaching and learning.

In addition, VEPH actively promotes international cooperation, participating in cultural and educational projects for overseas Vietnamese communities. A notable initiative is the “Vietnamese Bookcase” project, in collaboration with the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, alongside various educational innovation initiatives and the expansion of global partnerships.
