Vietnam police urge Samsung to help train workforce in IT, AI
Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security has urged Samsung Vietnam to help it with training high-quality workforce related to information technology (IT) and artificial intelligence (AI).
General-Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang made the statement at a Wednesday meeting with a delegation of Samsung Vietnam, led by newly-appointed CEO Na Ki Hong.

Quang also called on Samsung to help the ministry with high-technology deployment for management and supervision of the national security; scholarships and learning equipment sponsorships; and socioeconomic development programs.
The police chief also recommended Samsung have constant discussions with the ministry to solve its issues if any and help its activities in Vietnam.
Samsung has invested $23.2 billion in Vietnam, making it the largest foreign investor in the country. In 2024, Samsung Vietnam earned a revenue of $62.5 billion, including an export income of $54.4 billion. The number of Vietnamese vendors in the Samsung Vietnam ecosystem has reached 306.
Samsung’s latest investment in Vietnam was Samsung Display Vietnam (SDV) pouring $1.2 billion into making displays in Bac Ninh province.
