Vietnam remains biggest manufacturing source of Adidas
Vietnam remained the largest sourcing country of Adidas in 2024, accounting for 27% of the total product volume of the German sportwear giant, up from 26% in 2023.
In its 2024 performance review, Adidas said other major manufacturers were Indonesia with 19% of the total volume and China with 16%. In 2024, 92% of Adidas goods was produced in Asia, higher than the 90% recorded in 2023.

Regarding footwear, Vietnam was the biggest producer with 39% of the output, followed by Indonesia with 32% and China with 14%.
For apparel, Vietnam was the second-largest manufacturer with 18% of the total. Cambodia was the biggest with 23%, while China ranked third with 16%.
Adidas said Turkey, China, and Pakistan were the biggest producers of accessories and gear, making up 26%, 23%, and 21% of the total volume, respectively.
Adidas reported its net sales at €23.68 billion ($25.66 billion) in 2024, up 11% year-on-year. Its operating profit grew 398% to €1.34 billion.
In terms of net sales, footwear accounted for the biggest portion of 59%, followed by apparel with 35%, and accessories and gear with 6%.
Adidas highlighted Vietnam as its biggest workforce, with 15 factories and 104,466 workers, according to its data for 2023 but collected in 2024. Workers’ net wages surpassed the minimum wage requirements per Vietnam’s laws by 73-84%, the giant noted.
Other major production hubs were Indonesia with nine factories and 96,698 workers, Cambodia with eight factories and 39,152 workers, and China with 13 factories and 31,755 workers.
