Vietnamese corporations to deploy major projects in Danang
Representatives of prominent Vietnamese corporates Sun Group, BRG and FPT said Friday that they will carry out large projects in the central city of Danang this year.
They shared this information with Danang Chairman Le Trung Chinh when he paid Lunar New Year visits to subsidiaries of the three corporations.

Nguyen Tuan Phuong, chairman of FPT Software in the central Vietnam region, said its subsidiary in Danang employs 8,000 people who work on information technology research and development projects. The software giant plans to open a new facility in 2024 to create working space for developing information technology resources in the central region, specifically Danang, he said.
FPT will open a Center for Research and Development of Technology Products to develop semiconductor industry resources, Phuong said.
The corporation desired to work with Danang in making information technology a vital industry, contributing to the city’s overall growth, he added.
Phan Duong Hung Duy, a representative of FPT City, confirmed that the entity would begin construction of the FPT Plaza 3 building on February 24. The building would have around 800 apartments to accommodate FPT employees, he said.
Danang Chairman Chinh commended FPT for playing a significant part in the city’s growth in recent years by laying the groundwork for information technology development. The software giant promotes the development of smart cities and is a leader in semiconductor technology, he said.
Nguyen Van Binh, chairman of the central region for Sun Group, said its subsidiaries have been making progress in Danang. The group welcomed and served over 85,000 people during the seven days of the Lunar New Year holiday, he said.
Binh also said that in addition to current projects, Sun Group plans to deploy other multi-sector projects in the city this year, including the Fireworks Complex, Ocean Park and a tourism training school.
"With these projects, we hope to not only contribute to making Danang an attractive destination on the world tourism map, but also improve the lives of people through job creation and social security programs," Binh said.
Nguyen Hung Anh, branch director of BRG Group in Danang, stated that during the Lunar New Year, both the BRG Golf Course and the Sheraton Hotel were crowded, particularly the latter, which, despite being away from the downtown area, saw a 60% occupancy.
He said the group’s subsidiaries in Danang fulfilled their production and commercial targets last year. "This year, BRG will continue to accelerate implementation of projects, especially key ones like the BRG Danang Golf Resort Complex," he added.
