Vietnam's logistics major Transimex targets 20% profit growth in 2025
Transimex, a top logistics firm in Vietnam, targets net profit of over VND204 billion ($7.8 million) for 2025, up 20% year-on-year, on revenue of over VND3.36 trillion ($129.2 million), up 1%.
The company (HoSE: TMS) has identified 2025 as a year to enhance flexibility, tighten control, and improve management efficiency, Transimex's leadership told its 2025 AGM on April 25.
In Q1, its revenue was estimated at VND701 billion ($27 million), fulfiling nearly 21% of the year's target. After expenses, pre-tax profit stood at VND70 billion ($2.7 million), or about 29% of the year's plan.
Last year, Transimex's consolidated revenue reached VND3.33 trillion ($128 million), up 39% from 2023. Consolidated pre-tax profit in 2024 was VND238 billion ($9.1 million), the same to the previous year.

Speaking at the 2025 AGM, chairman Bui Tuan Ngoc said that warehouse employees at Transimex was actually glad about President Trump’s April 2 announcement to impose reciprocal tariffs as they hoped they could fill up their empty facilities.
He explained that when the tariffs were announced, some goods would not be shipped to the U.S. immediately and must be stored, giving Transimex a chance to fill its warehouses.
Still, before Transimex could receive tariff-related cargo, President Trump on April 9 delayed the imposition by 90 days to give countries more time to respond, he said.
With a market capitalization of over VND7 trillion ($269 million), Transimex offers integrated logistics services, including cargo handling, land and sea transportation, warehousing, distribution centers, and inland container depots.
Ngoc said that tariff developments are highly unpredictable, as tax rates levied by major countries can fluctuate significantly.
The situation will depend on negotiation outcomes in the coming months, he said, stressing Transimex is working to maximizing the outcome of all sectors unrelated to exports or affected by the U.S. tariffs.

Regarding its profit distribution plan for 2025, Transimex intends to pay a dividend at the ratio of 12% for 2024, with 10% in cash and 2% in shares.
The company will issue approximately 3.4 million shares to pay dividends, with shareholders receiving two new shares for every 100 shares they hold.
On the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE), TMS closed Tuesday, the last trading day before Vietnam's five-day holiday, at VND41,950 ($1.61) per share.
