VinFast best-selling vehicle brand in Vietnam
VinFast, the electric vehicle (EV) arm of Vietnam's private conglomerate Vingroup, delivered over 51,000 units in Vietnam in the first 10 months of this year, making it the best-selling brand in the country.
In a Tuesday statement, VinFast said the October figure was 11,000 units, including 5,000 VF 3 mini EVs and 2,600 VF5 EVs. Other notable models are VF 6 , VF 7, VF 8, VF 9, and VF e34.

VinFast expects to continue its leading role in the automobile market thanks to the high number of pre-orders.
According to an October report of the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers' Association (VAMA), not including VinFast and Hyundai, Toyota was the second best-selling brand in the 10-month period with 49,239 units.
With 48,546 units, Hyundai ranked third, according to a report by TC Group, manufacturer and official retailer of the South Korean brand’s vehicles in Vietnam.
Other top brands in Vietnam in January-October were Ford with 33,090; Mitsubishi with 32,334; KIA with 27,219; and Mazda with 25,207.
Vietnamese conglomerate Thaco, which manufactures and sells KIA, Mazda, Peugeot and BMW vehicles apart from its own Thaco trucks and buses, recorded total sales of 71,251 units in the period.
Members of the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers' Association (VAMA), not including VinFast and Hyundai, sold 264,344 units in the first 10 months of 2024, up 12% year-on-year.
Among vehicles sold by VAMA members, VinFast and Hyundai, the best-selling were Mitsubishi Xpander with 15,087 and Ford Ranger with 13,647.
