VN-Index gains for fourth consecutive session
The VN-Index, which tracks the performance of the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE), increased 26.47 points or 2.63% to 1,032.16 on Tuesday, marking its gain for the fourth consecutive session.

The major bourse saw 350 gainers and 102 losers, with more than 1.18 billion shares changing hands for VND18.25 trillion ($737.82 million).
In the VN30 basket, up to 24 stocks gained, with NVL of Novaland Group and PDR of Phat Dat Real Estate Development Corporation hitting their ceiling prices. Following NVL, PDR ended its 17-session losing streak.
Other blue chips recording an expansion of over 5% include VIC of Vingroup, MWG of Mobile World Investment Corp, HPG of steel maker Hoa Phat, and VHM of Vinhomes.
On the other side, four tickers namely GAS of PV GAS, ACB of Asian Commercial Bank, VIB of Vietnam International Bank, and SAB of brewer Sabeco dropped between 0.1% and 0.6%.
Real estate stocks continued to lead the market with many stocks hitting their ceiling prices like NVL, PDR, KDH of Khang Dien Holding Corp, CEO of CEO Group, DXG of Dat Xanh Group, and HQC of Hoang Quan Corp.
The securities group also showed their good performance with VND of VNDirect Securities hitting its ceiling price, VCI of Viet Capital Securities increasing 4%, and SHS of Saigon-Hanoi Securities rising 3.5%.
The green color also covered other groups like steel, banking, oil and gas, seafood, garment and cement.
Foreign investors remained net buyers to the tune of VND2,633 billion ($106.45 million) on the HoSE, the highest level in one month. They mainly net purchased HPG, VHM, MSN of Masan Group, PDR, and SSI of Saigon Securities, while net selling BCM of Investment and Industrial Development JSC, SAB and NKG of Nam Kim Steel JSC.
The HNX-Index on the Hanoi bourse increased by 4.16 points or 2.04% to 208.22, while the UpCOM-Index on the unlisted public company market was up 0.35 points or 0.5% to 70.38.
