Their arrests took place after the police had handled criminal reports.
The police determined that Truong and Hung committed violations from 2017 to 2021 when Truong was the chief inspector of the department, and Hung was the department inspectorate’s accountant.
Their specific violations have not been announced yet. The police are expanding the investigation, which is being steered by the provincial committee for anti-corruption.
