Emirates announces new air route to central Vietnam tourism hub Danang
The world’s largest airline Emirates will operate four weekly flights connecting the Middle East, major European cities, and the U.S. to Vietnam’s central city of Danang, starting June 2, 2025.

This forms part of the airline’s scheme to expand its presence in Asia, which also features three weekly flights to Cambodia’s Siem Reap, with a transit in Bangkok, Thailand.
Danang becomes the third destination in Vietnam to be served by Emirates, following Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Adnan Kazim, vice president and chief commercial officer of Emirates, commented that Vietnam plays a strategic role in Emirates' Southeast Asia network.
He said the launch of services to Danang, the third destination in Vietnam, comes at an opportune time, right after the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and Vietnam. "This new route will enhance bilateral trade and investment cooperation."
The round-trip flights to Danang will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, using a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with 35 Business Class seats and 368 Economy Class seats.
According to Emirates, the flight schedule will be optimized to easily transport passengers from major European cities such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, Manchester, Milan, and Rome, as well as U.S. cities to Danang. Notably, the new route will also connect high-net-worth passengers from the Middle East to Danang.
The scheduled flight EK370 will depart Dubai at 9 a.m. (local time) and arrive in Bangkok at 6:25 p.m., (local time). The flight will then depart Bangkok at 8:10 p.m. (local time) and land in Danang at 9:50 p.m. (local time).
In the reverse direction, flight EK371 will depart Danang at 11:30 p.m., arriving in Bangkok at 1:10 a.m. (local time), and then depart Bangkok at 3:40 a.m. (local time) to land in Dubai at 6:50 a.m. (local time).
Connecting Danang to 150 countries and territories
Truong Hong Hanh, director of the municipal Department of Tourism, remarked that the launch of direct flights from Emirates, a globally renowned five-star airline, will provide an opportunity to promote the city to 150 countries and territories.
“The new flights will open opportunities to attract tourists. This is also a chance to showcase Danang to international markets and foster business connections once the city inaugurates its international financial center and free trade zone,” she said.
Currently, Danang is linked to 16 international direct flight routes with 50-60 flights per day. The city Department of Tourism expects more flights from airlines of Dubai, China and Australia and from more cities in India in the near future.
“We anticipate that the international air travel market, especially direct flights from major destinations around the world, will connect directly to Danang. We have fully prepared necessary conditions to meet the diverse needs of these markets,” Hanh said.
Danang is a top tourism attraction in Vietnam. The city is world-famous for its beautiful beaches like My Khe and Golden Bridge. My Khe Beach was once ranked eighth in the list of Asia's top 10 beaches by the world's largest travel platform TripAdvisor.
The Golden Bridge was once voted by Time magazine as one of the “Top 10 best destinations in the world 2018”, and lauded by The Guardian as “The world’s most impressive pedestrian bridge”.
