Heineken Vietnam partners with top engineering university on robotics, technology talent
Heineken Vietnam has signed a strategic agreement with Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) under Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, to collaborate on technology development, talent training and research, as the brewer steps up its digital transformation efforts.
The partnership will focus on developing technology applications, training high-quality technology professionals, and promoting knowledge exchange between academia and industry.

The agreement was signed at Heineken Vietnam's brewery in Vung Tau, now part of Ho Chi Minh City following an administrative merger last July, with the aim of linking the university's research capabilities to the company's manufacturing operations.
The collaboration will begin with a research project on humanoid robotics. Researchers from HUTECH will develop software for the Unitree G1 humanoid robot, enabling it to perform manufacturing tasks such as loading cartons, unloading heavy pallets, and handling can lids on the brewery's production line.
Heineken Vietnam said the university partnership forms part of its broader technology development strategy in the country.
The Dutch brewer has established several regional technology hubs in Vietnam, including the Tiger Tribe software development center, an Asia-Pacific Connected Brewery Development Center, and an Asia-Pacific Data Analytics Research Center, underscoring the country's growing role in the company's regional digital and innovation operations.
