Honda Vietnam records 29% growth in Apr-Nov sales
Honda Vietnam recorded sales of 1.56 million motorbikes from April to November, up 29.3% year-on-year, according to its latest report.

In its November report for the fiscal year 2023 (from April 2022 to March 2023), the subsidiary of Japan’s Honda said it sold 215,595 motorbikes in the month, up 7% year-on-year but down 11.5% over October.
The motorbike maker exported 15,900 completely built units in November.
Wave Alpha continued as the top-selling semi-manual transmission model in November with 38,478 units, or 17.9% of the total. The best-selling automatic transmission model was Vision with 61,889 units, or 28.7% of the total. Winner X again topped the sales chart for manual transmission motorbikes with 10,274, or 4.8% of the total.
Honda sold 19,118 cars in the April-November period, 80% higher year-on-year. November sales fell 27.8% year-on-year to 1,436.
CITY was the best-selling model with 580 units in November, or 40.4% of the total, followed by CR-V with 513, accounting for 35.7% of the total.
Motorbikes dominate road traffic in Vietnam. As of end 2021, Vietnam had nearly 60 million gasoline-fueled motorbikes, 1.4 million electric motorbikes and 4.55 million cars, according to the Ministry of Transport.
Motorbike sales in Vietnam reached 2.49 million units in 2021, according to the Association of Motorbike Manufacturers (VAMM), down from 2.71 million in 2020, 3.25 million in 2019, and 3.39 million in 2018.
The VAMM comprises of Honda, Piaggio, Suzuki, SYM, and Yamaha, making up 95% of the total sales in the Southeast Asian nation.
