PVFCCo supplies nearly 500,000 tons of fertilizer for summer-autumn crop
PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo), a subsidiary of state-owned Petrovietnam, plans to supply nearly 500,000 tons of fertilizer to support agricultural production for the summer-autumn crop.
The plan comes as seasonal weather shifts and fertilizer demand peaks for the summer-autumn crop/rainy season spanning April to July 2025.

Ensuring market supply
In the first five months of 2025, PVFCCo maintained stable and flexible production and business operations, supplying over 550,000 tons of various fertilizers, helping stabilize the market amid fluctuations.
Specifically, PVFCCo's urea sales reached an estimated 320,000 tons, exceeding the plan by 4%; NPK sales topped 73,000 tons, surpassing the plan by 25%; and potassium sales hit around 93,000 tons, reaching 89% of the full-year target.
To prepare for the summer-autumn crop peak, PVFCCo plans to release around 100,000 tons of fertilizer to the market in June 2025 alone.
The corporation has proactively distributed goods to key regions such as the Mekong Delta, Central Highlands, and the south-central region.
Combined with existing inventory at PVFCCo’s warehouses and dealers, PVFCCo is positioned to supply nearly 500,000 tons of fertilizer for the summer-autumn crop, enabling farmers to plant and nurture crops on schedule despite unpredictable weather conditions.

Notably, the adoption of a new business model combined with digital transformation in management and operations has enabled PVFCCo to respond more quickly and flexibly to market fluctuations, proactively manage supply, and optimize production and business activities.
Alongside the rollout of its new brand identity, PVFCCo has introduced redesigned packaging to make its products more recognizable and user-friendly for farmers.
Supporting farmers with comprehensive solutions
Beyond simply supplying products, PVFCCo has actively supported farmers amid increasingly stringent technical requirements, especially from key export markets.
For example, PVFCCo's NPK is manufactured with advanced chemical technology and stringent controls on heavy metals like cadmium (Cd), allowing it to meet strict standards in demanding markets such as China - Vietnam’s largest durian export destination.
PVFCCo is actively deploying new technology solutions, including agriculture drones, to help farmers reduce labor costs, shorten cultivation time, and enhance fertilizer efficiency, particularly suited to rainy season conditions.

Alongside product supply, PVFCCo, also called Phu My, has stepped up agricultural technical support through workshops, demonstration models, farmer group meetings, and online consultations via its Facebook fanpage “Phu My - For a bountiful season.”
PVFCCo’s engineers remains ready to assist farmers in applying nutrition solutions tailored to specific crops and local growing conditions.
With its commitment to “sharing prosperity,” PVFCCo continues to reinforce its position as a national brand, leading innovation and product quality improvements in pursuit of greener, cleaner, and more sustainable agriculture.
