The Gilimex industrial park, enjoying the prime location of being two kilometers away from the Phu Bai international airport and 50 km away from Chan May seaport, aims to attract investments related to electrical products; electronic items; optical items; automobile parts and components; paper, plastic and rubber goods; food and beverage; leather; medical equipment; among others. It is expected to employ 20,000-30,000 people.

Currently, section A of the facility has completed 50% of the site preparation and 10% of the technical infrastructure. The industrial park is expected to hand over the site for section A this year and then proceed to section B. It is expected to be fully occupied by 2024.

The new IP, invested by Gilimex Industrial Park Corporation, was approved by the provincial authorities last year to function for 50 years. At the moment, the central province has six industrial parks covering 2,400 hectares.

The first six tenants of the Gilimex IP are three builders of warehouses for lease BW Industrial Development JSC, Danaecohome, and Toan Cau; electric appliance maker Thai Binh Duong; textile firm Premium Fashion Vietnam; and textile giant Vinatex.
