Thailand’s TCC Group eyes logistics, recycling in Vietnam
Party chief and President To Lam said he welcomed major Thai corporations, including TCC Group, to expand operations in Vietnam.
Lam made the statement during a meeting in Bangkok on Wednesday with Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, executive chairman of TCC Group and Group CEO of Thai Beverage Plc (ThaiBev), on occasion of his official visit to Thailand.

The Vietnamese leader said Vietnam welcomed big Thai companies increasing investment in sectors aligned with the country’s development needs and capable of creating added value for bilateral cooperation.
Vietnam attaches importance to its Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Thailand, with trade and investment cooperation and business connectivity serving as key pillars in promoting sustainable growth and strengthening linkages between the two economies.
Acknowledging TCC Group’s investments and operations in Vietnam over recent years, Lam encouraged the conglomerate to continue expanding its activities while improving governance capacity, promoting science and technology applications, fostering innovation, protecting the environment, and contributing positively to local communities.
The Vietnamese leader said the country was continuing to improve its business environment while prioritizing high-quality projects featuring advanced technology, modern governance and strong linkages with domestic enterprises.
He called on TCC to support Vietnamese small and medium-sized enterprises in integrating more deeply into supply chains, contributing to stronger economic connectivity between Vietnam, Thailand and other ASEAN economies.
Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi expressed hope that the Vietnamese government would continue facilitating TCC’s business activities. He added that the group is studying plans to launch additional operations in logistics, recycling and several other sectors in the near future.
The planned move is notable given that TCC and businesses within the ecosystem of Thai billionaire Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi already have a significant presence in Vietnam across retail, beverages, consumer goods, real estate and distribution.
If implemented, the expansion into logistics and recycling would signal TCC’s intention to broaden its footprint beyond consumer and commercial sectors into areas more directly linked to supply chains, the circular economy and sustainable development in Vietnam.
TCC Group operates across sectors including food and beverages, industry and trading, finance and insurance, real estate, agriculture, and agro-industry. The conglomerate has operations in Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar and several other markets.
