T&Y SuperPort Vinh Phuc launches off-airport cargo terminal in northern Vietnam
An off-airport cargo terminal (OACT), part of the Vietnam SuperPort - one of northern Vietnam’s largest multimodal logistics hubs, has been launched by Singaporean-backed joint venture T&Y SuperPort Vinh Phuc JSC.
The launch was part of the 19th Vietnam-Singapore Connectivity Ministerial Meeting in Hanoi last Friday.
The newly activated OACT is one of Vietnam’s first extended air cargo terminals, designed to function as a “cargo terminal outside the airport.”
It offers comprehensive logistics services, including customs clearance, security screening, storage, ULD handling, and air cargo transport to major airports.
Located in Phu Tho province, the 83-hectare Vietnam SuperPort represents the first “superport” under the ASEAN Smart Logistics Network.

The project is developed by T&Y SuperPort Vinh Phuc JSC, a joint venture between T&T Group and Singapore’s YCH Group, with an investment of nearly $300 million.
Strategically positioned along the northern economic corridor, the SuperPort connects more than 20 industrial parks to key gateways such as Hanoi-based Noi Bai International Airport, Hai Phong port, and Quang Ninh port, with extended reach into Chinese provinces of Yunnan and Kunming.
It is expected to serve as a vital transshipment hub linking Vietnam with the China-ASEAN region and major global air routes to the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
Vietnam ranked 43rd globally and fifth in ASEAN in the World Bank’s 2023 Logistics Performance Index, behind Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
The country’s logistics sector has been expanding 14-16% annually, reaching a market size of $40-42 billion in 2024.
