Vietnam gasoline price drops for third time
Retail gasoline prices in Vietnam decreased by VND1,300-1,320 ($0.05) per liter on Thursday, the third drop after two consecutive hikes since early April.

RON 95-III gasoline dropped to VND21,000 ($0.89) per liter, while E5 RON 92 hit VND20,130 ($0.86).
Diesel oil decreased by VND600 to VND17,650 ($0.75) a liter, while kerosene fell by VND550 to VND17,970 ($0.77) per liter.
For this price adjustment, Vietnamese authorities continued not to use the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund. Instead, they used provisions for the fund, from VND500 to VND300 for each liter of gasoline.
Consumer prices in April fell 0.34% from March, according to the General Statistics Office. The reasons are food prices falling due to abundant supply, and tuition fees in some localities being revised down according to the government's Resolution No. 165/NQ-CP.
Average consumer prices in the first four months of this year rose 3.84% from a year earlier.
