Vietnamese firms announce cash dividends as Lunar New Year begins
Many Vietnamese companies have announced cash payout to shareholders immediately following the Lunar New Year holiday (Tet).
VIB bank, listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) as VIB had finalized at end-January the list of shareholders to receive a 6% cash dividend for 2023 – or VND600 ($0.03) per share.
VIB is the first bank to issue cash dividends in 2024, payable February 21. With a charter capital of more than VND25,000 billion ($1.02 billion), or more than 2.5 billion shares, the bank’s payout is estimated at VND1,520 billion ($62.23 million).
Southern Battery JSC (HoSE: PAC) shareholders will get a 5% cash advance dividend, or VND500 ($0.02) per share, on February 28.
With 46.47 million shares, PAC is expected to pay out more than VND23.2 billion ($949,850) in cash dividend this time. Vietnam Chemical Group (Vinachem), the company's main shareholder with more than a 51% stake, will receive over VND12 billion ($491,300).
Cat Loi JSC (HoSE: CLC) will pay a 15% cash dividend, or VND1,500 ($0.06) per share, on February 28.
This time, the company will pay a total dividend of about VND39.3 billion ($1.6 million). With a 51% stake in Cat Loi, Vietnam Tobacco Corporation (Vinataba) will receive about VND20 billion ($818,830).
Thua Thien-Hue Construction JSC (HoSE: HUB), will pay a 10% cash dividend, or VND1,000 ($0.04) per share, on February 29. With nearly 26.3 million shares, the company’s payout will be VND26.3 billion ($1.07 million).
Vietnam Fumigation Joint Stock Company (HoSE: VFG) announced its second advance dividend in 2023 at a rate of 10% in cash, meaning shareholders will receive VND1,000 ($0.04) for each share they own.
Payment date is March 8. With 41.7 million outstanding shares, the company will spend VND41.7 billion ($1.71 million) for the payment. PAN Group, the largest shareholder holding 41.98% of charter capital, will receive nearly VND18 billion ($737,000).
