Vietnamese woman stabs Japanese man to death in Yokohama
A Vietnamese woman, Le Thi Ngoc Hanh stabbed a man to death Monday in Japan's Yokohama city, according to Japanese media company NHK.
Hanh, 35, was arrested at a local police station that she’d reportedly chased the man into, knife in hand, after stabbing him in a nearby apartment.
The 37-year-old Japanese man, Tsuyoshi Sakami, had rushed into the police station bleeding at around 4.30 a.m. and collapsed there. The police took him to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Hanh has admitted to stabbing Sakami according to a report at www3.nhk.or.jp .
According to the Immigration Services Agency (ISA) of Japan, there are about 433,000 Vietnamese people in Japan, or about 15.7% of foreigners in the country.
