Apple supplier Quanta to double capacity of $120 mln Vietnam plant
Taiwan-based Quanta Computer will double the capacity of its factory in Vietnam’s northern province of Nam Dinh, with new products.
According to a recent report, the firm received an investment registration certificate, the third adjustment, in late October. The investment capital is unchanged at $120 million.

The project now has an annual capacity of manufacturing and repairing nine million laptops and desktop computers. The previous operation was manufacturing 4.5 million laptops and desktop computers. Quanta aims to reach a capacity of 1.3 million items this year, 2.6 million in 2025, 4.5 million in 2026, seven million in 2027, and nine million in 2028.
The new activity is to manufacture and repair 1.5 million electronic components a year, including LCM modules, PCBA, computer hardware, and desktop-laptop items. The firm targets an annual capacity of 500,000 in 2025, one million in 2026, and 1.5 million in 2027 and 2028.
The factory is set to employ 11,500 workers, including 100 foreigners, during stable operation.
From 2029, Quanta aims to invest more in the facility.
Nam Dinh factory is Quanta’s ninth facility in the world. The factory churned out its first products in September, 16 months after receiving the investment license.
