Billionaires to attend central Vietnam investment promotion conference
The central province of Binh Dinh says well known billionaires are among more than 1,000 delegates set to attend its investment promotion conference later this month.

Without providing names, the Binh Dinh Investment Promotion Center says 15 billionaires and other well-known businessmen from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Israel and Sweden will attend the conference held in the province on March 29.
The delegates will also include leaders of international organizations, representatives from embassies, investment promotion organizations, sponsors and nearly 500 domestic and foreign businesses, the center says.
Representatives of businesses in real estate, tourism, golf, jewelry, cosmetics, entertainment, renewable energy, thermal power, oil and gas, finance, trade and other sectors will attend the conference.
Highlights of the event will include the signing of a memorandum of understanding on tourism development cooperation for five years (2024-2028) by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh, Vietnam Airlines and Binh Dinh F1 JSC.
The event will also see the signing of cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding by six investors for 18 projects; as well as the granting of investment and registration certificates to five enterprises.
A senior official with the Binh Dinh Investment Promotion Center said the province was focusing on inviting investors with modern, environmentally friendly technologies who can use resources effectively to churn out profitable products.
The province was inviting participation in agriculture, forestry - fisheries, industry, port and logistics services, tourism and the urban economy, the official said.
Binh Dinh was also looking to attract resources for organizing international sports, trade, tourism and cultural events to develop its “sea sports economy,” the official added.
