Con Vanh golf course in northern Vietnam to debut in 2028
Huy Hoang Urban Development and Investment JSC aims to put its VND2,156 billion ($81.75 million) Con Vanh golf course project in Hung Yen province into operation in early 2028.
Hung Yen authorities mentioned the timeline at a meeting on Wednesday to get an update on the project progress.
The investor has reportedly completed legal procedures related to land and started construction of a number of items. It already signed a contract for the transport and site clearance package.

The project is located on an area of nearly 110 hectares blessed by nature with pristine beaches, beautiful landscapes, and fresh air in Hung Phu commune.
It includes a 27-hole international standard golf course, an executive house, a high-end resort-hotel complex, a practice field, a technical maintenance house, trees, parking lots, and other utilities.
Con Vanh is not only expected to become a high-class sport and entertainment destination of northern Vietnam, but also an important driving force of Hung Yen's tourism, service and marine sectors in the coming years.
In the next stage, the investor will focus on implementing key project items: golf course, traffic works-technical infrastructure, accommodation areas, and auxiliary works.
The company has proposed the province allow it to receive materials from seaport dredging for leveling and grant construction permits for two temporary wharves to transport construction materials.
In particular, it wants to receive state funds for making plans on surrounding service, tourism and real estate projects, in order to create a synchronous and modern coastal resort and tourism complex.
Con Vanh, located in the former Tien Hai district of the former Thai Binh province, is home to a beach area about 150 km from Hanoi. It is located right at the mouth of Ba Lat River, where the Red river flows into the sea, creating a large alluvial area with a rich ecosystem.
The entire Con Vanh area is 1,696 ha wide, of which 1,618 ha is planned for tourism purposes. This area includes 700 ha of mangrove forest and 56 ha of casuarina forest, creating a diverse ecosystem. This place is part of the Red River Delta Biosphere Reserve recognized by UNESCO in 2004.
Hung Yen and the coastal province of Thai Binh were recently merged to form the new Hung Yen province.
In May, the Trump Organization and local developer Kinh Bac broke ground on a $1.5 billion golf, eco-tourism, and urban complex in Hung Yen.
The complex, named Trump International Hung Yen, is the first Trump-branded project in Vietnam. The mega project spans nearly 990.43 ha across six communes. Construction is scheduled to be completed by Q2/2029.
CTP, a leading industrial real estate developer in the Netherlands, plans to invest about EUR1 billion ($1.16 billion) in Vietnam in the coming years, with the northern province of Hung Yen identified as a key location.
The investment will focus on provinces and cities with potential for industrial and logistics development, CTP’s CEO and founder Remon Vos said at a meeting with the Hung Yen People’s Committee on August 26.
