VSIP Can Tho industrial park poised to attract $200 mln FDI in Q1/2025: developer
Vinh Thanh Industrial Park (IP), also known as VSIP Can Tho, is set to have 19 foreign investors ink investment agreements for projects worth $200 million at the facility in Q1/2025, IP officials say.
The industrial park, built per Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) model, will sign land lease agreements with tenants in the first quarter of 2025 and deliver sites to customers in Q3/2025, a representative of VSIP Can Tho said at a Tuesday meeting with municipal authorities.
The industrial park was conducting “soil-related activities” towards completing these by the end of 2024 and building infrastructure from early next year towards handing sites over to customers by June 2025, the rep said.

The rep requested municipal authorities to help with the bidding for sand exploitation as a material for site levelling, stressing the volatility of sand prices in the Mekong Delta.
Sand prices have doubled since the facility received an in-principle nod from the city. This meant that VSIP Can Tho may have to spend an additional VND800 billion ($31.9 million) on purchasing sand to complete site leveling tasks at current prices, the representative noted.
Nguyen Van Hieu, an alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Party chief of Can Tho, asked relevant agencies to speed up site clearance and construction of two roads connecting the industrial park to key traffic infrastructure facilities. He specifically asked that the site clearance task be completed this month.
