Chapman Freeborn sets sights on Vietnam market growth
Chapman Freeborn, a global air charter specialist and part of Avia Solutions Group, has made its foray into the Vietnamese market seeking new business opportunities.
Chapman Freeborn sees immense opportunities in Vietnam in both business and commercial aviation, Paul Tsang, Chapman Freeborn vice president in passenger solutions in Asia-Pacific, said in his company’s release on its expansion to the country.
To drive this expansion, the European firm has just appointed Vietnamese national Le Quang as an executive in passenger solutions in Asia-Pacific. He will focus on developing supplier and client relationships in Vietnam and the surrounding region, Chapman Freeborn said.
“We are dedicated to Asia and as such we are investing in new, developing markets. Vietnam continues to develop at pace, and we want to ensure we are established to support the market growth, along with working with authorities to ensure that capacity solutions are met in full,” Andy Hudson, Chapman Freeborn president in Asia-Pacific echoed his colleague Tsang.
“We look forward to expanding our footprint in this country,” Hudson said.
The Chapman Freeborn Vietnam operation is situated alongside fellow Avia Solutions Group subsidiary, BAA Flight Training, in their office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s economic powerhouse.
Quang, Chapman Freeborn’s newest executive, is also its first employee in Vietnam.
Chapman Freeborn in late December appointed four new leaders to head up its regional divisions. The four are Hudson for Asia-Pacific; Reto Hunziker, regional director for Europe; David McCown, president in Americas; and Sharon Vaz-Arab, regional director for India, the Middle East and Africa.
The charterer is a member of Lithuania-headquartered Avia Solutions Group, which has over 100 offices and production facilities globally and over 9,000 highly skilled aviation professionals, according to the provider of aviation capacity solutions.
